RICHARD PELOETONA; A FARMER DRIVEN BY PASSION, PURPOSE AND INNOVATION

Meet Ndazha Richard Peloetona, an agripreneur, farmer, and Director of HOVPRO farming. Located in Gweta South, Tsaugam ( lions tale ) CT11 Concession Area - 8 km North East of Jack's Camp, Hovpro is a Meat Master stud breeder and beef production business. 

Mr Peloetona grew up in a farming family where he used to accompany his father to the farm which eventually ignited a spark in him to be a farmer. Richard has an obsession of white/Grey Brahmans as they do well in his area especially because they are hardy, docile and very adaptive. He is also a Meat Master stud breeder who recently started breeding Damara and White Dorper for his own Meat Master signature bloodline and as if that is enough, he does crop production on a small scale to make adequate feed for livestock and save costs.  As every business has its own challenges Richard said that even though they live in a land with different kinds of predators that has never discouraged him to quit farming.

This is just the beginning of a lifetime journey in rearing livestock with bigger and better genetics. As a way of benchmarking and improving his business he continues to learn from some of the dedicated and result driven farmers in Kushatha Moesi, Nonny Wright, GMM Farms, Kaiser Sechele, Eddy Boer Goats not forgetting his everyday support, his parents and partners Tumelo Garebamono, Godiraone Modirwagale and Hwanano Dema.
